Over at Soundcloud, you can listen to BEAT LA, a compiliation benefiting Haiti and the organization Doctors Without Borders, that features bands/artists like No Age, Devon Williams, Bobb Bruno of Best Coast, Nathaniel Eras and others covering tracks by legendary Los Angeles bands (Oh yeah, and Cheech and Chong!)  BEAT LA is available now via Narnack Records/Greatminds!

Quiet in the Valley, On the Shore the End Begins, & the Electric Six is the new album from Jim Ward (guitarist for At the Drive-In, Sparta, and Sleepercar). According to the Spinner description, the album is a “collection of masterful tunes.” You can check it out for yourself here. Quiet in the Valley, On the Shore the End Begins, & the Electric Six is out now on Tembloroso Recordings.

The new one from Mariachi El Bronx (a.k.a the Bronx with Mariachi) is called Mariachi El Bronx II and it’s available to stream over at Spinner. I heard some of the songs on Tuesday when the band played an in-store at the job, and they’re pretty solid. Give it a listen here.

Legendary Weapons is the newest offering from legendary hip-hop outfit Wu-Tang Clan or Wu-Tang (as noted on the release). The fourteen-track album is out now, but if you’re on the fence about it, you can listen to it beforehand here.

Also streaming: New Albums from Fruit Bats, Moonface (a.k.a Spencer Krug of the defunct Wolf Parade), Fountains of Wayne, the Horrors, and Richard Buckner.
