Masked electronica producer SBTRKT‘s self-titled debut album isn’t out till 6/28 (via Young Turks), but it’s available to stream over at the Hype Machine.


Underrated musician/songwriter John Maus‘ newest effort, We Must Become The Pitiless Censors Of Ourselves, is streaming at NPR till its release date via Ribbon Music on 6/28.

Sound Kapital, the newest effort from husband-and-wife duo Dan Boeckner and Alexei Perry—aka Handsome Furs—is streaming over at KCRW. It’s out 6/28 via Sub Pop, and is available as an iTunes pre-order with Bonus Track.

Shabazz Palaces‘—aka Ishmael Butler from Digable Planets/Cherrywine—newest album Black Up is out 6/28 via Sub Pop. Head on over to NPR to hear it beforehand.

Red Hot + Ri0 2—the second installment of the AIDS benefit compilation put out by the non-profit Red Hot Organization—is a modern tribute to late 60’s Brazilian Tropicalia that features Brazilian music legends (Rita Lee of Os Mutantes, Caetano Veloso, and Gilberto Gil to name a few) as well as artists of today (St. Vincent, John Legend, Beck, Dirty Projectors, Beirut, etc.) It’s out on 6/28 via Red Hot, but you can stream it, in full, till then at NPR.

Speaking of compilations: Rave On Buddy Holly—a tribute to, well, Buddy Holly—is streaming, as well, over at NPR. This 19 song comp features (Sir) Paul McCartney, My Morning Jacket, Lou Reed, Fiona Apple, Patti Smith (and others). It’s out 6/28 via Fantasy Records/Concord Music Group.
