In 2012, Chromatics released Kill For Love, an album full of hypnotic indie-synth-disco jams. It ended up being a favorite album of mine that year, and ever since then I’ve been waiting for another to come about. Thankfully, it looks like it’s (finally) happening this year…sometime soon. The album is called Dear Tommy, and its second single comes in the form of “I Can Never Be Myself When You’re Around.” That’s it below, and in case you’re wondering: it’s another jam.

Dear Tommy is out sometime soon (possibly this March) via Italians Do It Better.

Indie Electronica duo Tanlines are set to release the follow-up to their solid 2012 album, Mixed Emotions. It’s called Highlights and its first single is called “Slipping Away.” That’s it below, and it’s great.

Highlights is out on May 18 in Europe, and on May 19 in the US via True Panther.

On April 14, multi-instrumentalist duo Calexico, will release Edge of the Sun, the follow-up to 2012’s Algiers via Anti-. Much like the aforementioned Algiers, and the better part of their two decade career, Edge of the Sun drew inspiration from the duo’s travels. This time around it’s a place in Mexico City, and the result is more of that earthy and eclectic Americana they do so well.

Below is, “Falling From the Sky,” the solid second single from the upcoming album, and it features Band of Horses frontman, Ben Bridwell. Other collaborations of note on the album come from Sam Beam (Iron & Wine), Nick Urata (Devotchka), and Neko Case.
