Finally, the Coachella line-up is revealed.

For the third year in a row, I’ll be making the trek out to Indio for this years Coachella. And, from the looks of the line-up this year, it’s going to be an amazing one.

The past two years, I’ve had a desire to see about, on average, forty bands. This year, on quick glance, it looks like it’s going to be more. Friday is great, Saturday is even better, and Sunday is…ahh, hell, the whole thing is great.

Here’s who I’m interested in seeing each day:

Kings of Leon
The Black Keys
The Chemical Brothers *
Robyn *
Ms. Lauryn Hill *
Brandon Flowers *
Crystal Castles *
Cee-Lo Green *
Cut Copy *
Cold War Kids *
Warpaint *
Tame Impala *
Ariel Pink’s Haunted Graffiti *
!!! *
The Pains of Being Pure at Heart *
Kele *
Here We Go Magic *
Titus Andronicus *
Cold Cave *
The Drums
The Morning Benders
Glasser *
Mount Kimbie *

Arcade Fire
Animal Collective *
Bright Eyes * (Never seen him as Bright Eyes, just as Conor Oberst or as part of Monsters of Folk)
Empire of the Sun *
The Kills
The London Suede *
Broken Social Scene
Erykah Badu *
The New Pornographers
Cage the Elephant * (Hopefully, after two previous failed attempts, I’ll finally see them)
The Swell Season
Elbow *
The Delta Spirit *
Two Door Cinema Club *
Foals *
The Tallest Man On Earth *
Cults *
The Radio Dept. *
Wire *
Thao and the Get Down Stay Down *
The Joy Formidable *
Phosphorescent *
The Love Language *
Gayngs *
Freelance Whales *
The Felice Brothers *

Kanye West *
The Strokes
Duran Duran *
The National
PJ Harvey
Death From Above 1979 * (I was bummed when they broke up several years ago. Good to know they’re back, at least for a day)
Jimmy Eat World
Best Coast *
Fistful of Mercy
City and Colour *
Angus and Julia Stone *
Trentmøller *
Phantogram *
Twin Shadow *
OFF! *
Menomena *

In total, I’m looking at fifty-four bands I’ve never seen * and seventeen that I’ve already seen once (in some cases, more than once). That’s seventy-one bands!  It’s going to be insane.

The only thing is, I honestly hope they don’t over sell like it they did last year.  That was a complete drag. As well, as hopefully they figured out a better way for people to enter and leave the parking lots at night.  Another, in some cases, two hour drag.

All that said, if you’re going, is their anybody you’re excited about?

I saw Lauryn Hill in 1998 when “miseducation…” came out. She played at the Universal Amphitheater and Outkast opened up for her. It was an amazing show! I know she’s become more mellow these days so it will be interesting to see how her performance will be 13 years later.
