Ladytron

Awhile back I posted a stream of two new tracks (“White Elephants,” and “Ace of Hz”) off of Ladytron’s forthcoming fifth album Gravity the Seducer. Yesterday, the electro-pop foursome dropped another stream in the form of “Ambulances.”

Much like its predecessor “White Elephants,” “Ambulances” borders more on the ballad side of the spectrum than the electro side. At times it feels sort of Bjork-ish. I’m digging it. Which, like I said last time, is a welcomed surprise because I honestly can’t remember the last time I was excited for a Ladytron song or release for that matter. Take a listen to it below.

Gravity the Seducer is out 9/13 via Nettwerk.

On September 13, electro-popsters Ladytron will release their fifth album Gravity the Seducer via Nettwerk. We’ve already gotten a taste of the album in the form of “Ace of Hz” and now we get another. The song is “White Elephants” and unlike its predecessor this song is subdued—a little less electro and more dreamy ballad.

Both of them, however, are pretty great. Which is a welcome surprise, since I haven’t been into a Ladytron song since, well, awhile back. That’s the album artwork above, and “White Elephants” below.

Here’s “Ace of Hz” in case you missed it.
