Album Stream Roundup: Toro Y Moi, Esben & the Witch, Christopher Owens, and More

new-release

Hey! Remember me?! No?! Oh, well, it has been awhile. Well, for those of you that don’t know or remember me, my name is Michael. I’m the guy behind this blog. Welcome. As for those of you that do remember me, thanks for sticking around. It’s nice to know that you’re still there. So, that aside, on to the reason as to why I’m here: New Releases.

Yesterday, the fifteenth of January, marked the first music release date of the year. Suffice it to say that it was a good one. Alright. Enough talking. Here’s the goods.

The folks over at P4K have this new platform called Advance. The gist: It’s a pre-release streaming platform. Which is great, because sometimes you want to hear an album before you buy it. If you click on the link, and head on over there, you can stream   Anything in Return from Toro Y Moi, and the new Esben & the Witch album, Wash the Sins Not Only the Face. Both of these are available for streaming until 1/21—their release date.

Over at Spinner, you can check out the debut solo album, Lysandre, from ex-Girls frontman Christopher Owens. As well as Love Sign, the new one from Free Energy.

And, last but not least, NPR’s First Listen has German electronica producer Pantha Du Prince‘s new one, Elements of Light. For this record he teamed up with The Bell Laboratory, a Norwegian percussion group. Along with, Almanac, the sophomore effort from Widowspeak.

Well, that’s it for this week. Hopefully, I’ll do this on a weekly basis. We’ll see. -Fingers crossed.-
